Privacy Policy

Dossier — PDF & Doc Scanner ("the App") is published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how we handle information when you use the App. In short: your documents stay on your iPhone. Our App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.

1. Your Documents & Scans

• Your documents never leave your device. Scanning, OCR, AI extraction, categorizing, and summaries all run on-device.
• The App does not upload, transmit, stream, or store your scans, photos, or extracted text on our servers. We have no servers that hold your documents.
• Scanned pages, generated PDFs, and extracted data live in the App's sandbox on your iPhone, and are removed when you delete the document or the App.
• If you choose to export or share a document via the iOS share sheet (Messages, Mail, AirDrop, Files, etc.), you control where it goes — we do not see it.

2. Data We Store Locally

• Documents & pages: Scanned images, generated PDFs, page order, and titles. Stored locally on your device.
• Extracted fields: Vendor, total, currency, date, category, and AI summaries produced on-device. Stored locally via SwiftData and fully editable by you.
• Folders & preferences: Custom folders, colors, icons, default export format, and theme.
• Monthly usage counter: A local counter that enforces the free-tier scan limit. No counter data is transmitted off-device.
• Purchase status: Subscription state is managed by Apple's StoreKit and cached locally for feature gating.

3. Permissions We Request

• Camera: Only when you scan a document with your camera. We do not capture in the background or while the App is closed.
• Photo Library (read-only): Only when you choose to import an existing photo or PDF. We access only the items you select via the iOS picker — we do not enumerate your library.
• Files / iCloud Drive: Only the files you explicitly pick are imported into the App's sandbox.
• Notifications (optional): Used only for completion alerts. You can disable them in iOS Settings.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store / StoreKit: Manages subscriptions and purchases. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
• Google AdMob (free tier only): Displays banner and interstitial ads to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalization. Your documents, scans, and extracted data are never shared with AdMob. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Premium subscribers see no ads and trigger no AdMob requests.

5. Data Storage and Security

• All documents, PDFs, extracted data, folders, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
• No document content, extracted text, or device-identifiable content is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• Purchase verification uses Apple's secure StoreKit framework.
• The App's core scanning, OCR, and AI features work completely offline.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your documents or extracted data with any third party. AdMob may collect device-level data for ad personalization (free tier only); document content is excluded.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete individual documents or folders from inside the App
• Delete the App to remove all local documents, scans, extracted data, and preferences
• Disable Notifications, Camera, and Photo Library permissions from iOS Settings at any time

8. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and is not intended to collect data from children under 13. Because the App does not collect personal data, this is enforced by design.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
