These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Dossier — PDF & Doc Scanner application ("the App") published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Dossier is an iOS application that scans paper documents into PDFs and uses on-device intelligence to read them. Scanning, OCR, AI data extraction, categorizing, and summaries all run on your device. Features include camera scanning with automatic edge detection and perspective correction, multi-page documents, import of existing photos and PDFs, full-text search, custom folders, expense reports, and export to PDF, CSV, image, and TXT.

2. Important Limitations

Dossier is a scanning and data-entry tool, not a guaranteed accuracy or advisory service. You understand and agree that:

• OCR and AI extraction (vendor, total, currency, date, category, summaries) may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying every extracted field before relying on it.
• Extracted data and summaries do not constitute financial, legal, tax, accounting, or medical advice. Consult a qualified professional for such matters.
• Recognition quality depends on lighting, focus, document condition, handwriting, and language.
• Expense reports are generated from the data the App extracts and the data you enter; their accuracy depends on that input.
• The App is not a system of record. Keep your own backups of important original documents.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and only on documents you have the right to scan and process. You agree not to:

• Scan or process documents belonging to others without authorization or where prohibited by law
• Use the App to forge, alter, or misrepresent documents, identities, or financial records
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract any machine-learning model or component bundled with the App
• Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or free-tier limitations
• Use the App in any manner that violates applicable laws or third-party rights

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• Free tier: No charge. 10 scans per month, automatic document categorizing, full-text search, and TXT export, with banner and interstitial advertising.
• Premium Monthly: $9.99/month. Unlimited scans, AI extraction, categorizing and summaries, export to PDF, CSV and image, unlimited custom folders, expense reports, and zero ads.
• Premium Annual: $49.99/year (save 58% vs. monthly), with a 7-day free trial. Same Premium feature set as monthly.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's Terms of Service.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• If you cancel during a free trial period before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers retain their original price for the remainder of the active term.

5. User Content

Documents, scans, extracted data, and folders are stored locally on your device. You retain all rights to your content. We do not access, collect, or store your content on any server.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and packaged content, is owned by Bulpara Inc and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose. Any bundled machine-learning model is licensed for use within the App only and may not be extracted or redistributed.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT OCR, AI EXTRACTION, OR SUMMARIES WILL BE ACCURATE FOR A SPECIFIC DOCUMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BULPARA INC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Decisions made based on extracted data, summaries, or expense reports
• Errors or omissions in OCR or AI-extracted fields
• Loss of documents or data due to user error or device failure
• Subscription-related charges that fall under Apple's billing policy

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bulpara Inc from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, including any documents you scan, process, and distribute.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the business.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
